Take That's Howard Donald has named his newborn son Bowie in an apparent tribute to late singer David Bowie, who died on Sunday January 10 aged 69. The baby was born on Tuesday, two days after Bowie passed away.
Donald tweeted: "Bowie Taylan Donald came into this world on Tues 12th Jan. Mummy and daddy suffering sleep deprivation but life is wonderful, he is divine."
The 47-year-old has two daughters, Grace and Lola, from a previous relationship, but this is his first child with wife Kate Halil, whom he married in January 2015.
Donald has not confirmed his son is named after the singer, but he wrote a touching post commemorating Bowie, who had been privately battling cancer for 18 months, after his death. He wrote: "Feel very honoured that I have a photo of me and Jay (Jason Orange) with David Bowie. When we did TOTP. What a genius and a great loss. RIP."
