McFly have delighted fans by announcing they're getting back together for a new UK tour.
It will be the first time for almost three years that Harry Judd, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter will be taking the stage as McFly.
During that time, they have toured as supergroup McBusted, which they formed along with two members of fellow pop-punk boyband Busted - who also announced their own comeback five months ago.
“I reckon we’re back to square one. We knew Busted was going to happen and they’re back now. It’s exciting to be going up against them,” Judd told The Sun.
The comeback in June, dubbed The Anthology Tour, will see them play three nights in four cities: Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Over the course of the 12 shows, they plan to perform every song they have ever recorded.
"That’s 64 songs back to back," Judd told the newspaper. "Night one is album one, plus some hits. Night two is albums two and three. Night three is albums four and five. It’s going to be a lot of fun."
Although they won't be playing any new material just yet, Judd wouldn't rule out a new album after the tour.
"We agreed we needed to go on tour together first and I think that will be the catalyst for what is to come," he added.
News of the reunion was quickly trending on Twitter, where fans greeted the announcement with delight.
"Mcfly was the first 'boy band' I ever liked, they’re my originals, my first loves. I am so happy they’re back," one tweeted.
Another, Craigh, commented: "I have been waiting for a Mcfly tour for years and now you're telling me I can see them three times in three days?"
Guitarist Fletcher had sparked a frenzy of speculation earlier this month when he mentioned on television to an 11-year-old fan that he could come see them "on tour a bit later in the year". However, the band had refused to confirm the tour at the time.
Busted's 13-date tour kicks off next month after Matt Willis, James Bourne and Charlie Simpson confirmed in November that they would be getting back together.
Known for hits such as Year 3000, Air Hostess and What I Go to School For, Busted split in 2004.
