I live in an old converted schoolhouse in Hackney, east London with my husband and our 18-month-old son. I moved in three years ago, but my husband has been living here for the past ten. He did a lot of decorating and changed the layout completely.
This is our living room and, when the building was still a school, used to be the staffroom. We have wonderfully high ceilings and windows that lead out to our roof terrace where we get an amazing view of London. We also have some raised beds out there where we like to grow vegetables as home cooking is very important to us.
The whole flat is painted white, but we have pops of colours every now and then to help bring some life to it.
This brass singing bowl from India was a wedding gift and is very precious to me. It’s very thin and if you rub it a certain way it makes the most beautiful sound
This is my husband’s chair and it’s very much a 'dad’ chair. It’s a Karuselli and is a great piece of design
I wanted a toy for our son that would look attractive and be fun for him to play with, so I chose this Donna Wilson fox. My son was terrified of him until recently
We have four massive bookshelves and several thousand books throughout the flat. This one is full of healthy cookbooks for inspiration
