The launch of the autumn homeware collections is always a highlight in the interiors calendar – and this year, we need them more than ever. After a quiet summer, there’s a new drop of furniture and accessories in the shops and online that will help to put a fresh spin on a room. Here are four of our favourites:

Rockett St George

Thanks to the #quarantini trend, home bars have surged in popularity during lockdown, so Rockett St George’s new cocktail collection is right on the money. It’s designed in collaboration with Pikes hotel in Ibiza and the style is suitably glam. There are actual bars – a faux-leather-clad standing trunk or an art deco-style mirrored tall table – plus drink-specific glassware, serveware and accessories. Perfect for those who want to bring a rock’n’roll twist to cocktail hour.

Habitat

Curves are the defining trend of Habitat’s new collection, and they appear on everything from bed frames, tables and cute rounded sofas and chairs to lighting, mirrors and polka-dot textiles. The effect is a soft, comfortable look that feels right for now, and the palette – deep blues and greens with shots of mustard and terracotta – is cosy yet sophisticated. Highlights include sculptural rattan bedheads, a pretty scalloped mirror and playful tiger-shaped rugs.

Soho Home

Four years after Soho Home came on the scene, the brand is having a major relaunch, in the form of a new, trend-led collection with no fewer than 350 original pieces. All designed by the brand’s in-house team, the range covers furniture, textiles, lighting and accessories, and it’s got every room in the house covered. The vibe is casual yet luxe – think velvet sofas, armchairs in bouclé or linen, patterned cushions and rugs, and polished-marble tables. Our picks include this  glass coffee table, armchair and spectacular oversized mirror.

John Lewis & Partners

Statement style is the watchword at John Lewis, where there’s a mix of clean, modern design with a mid-century feel, and ’70s-style retro luxe: dark-wood furniture, high-shine finishes and cut-velvet upholstery in rich reds and plums. Look out for bold bedding featuring elephants, tigers and birds by artist Emma J Shipley.
