Glenmorangie and Mr Cooper’s House & Garden present the Amália cocktail for Old Fashioned Week, with drinks writer Laura Foster and Mr Cooper’s head bartender, Shane Kilgarriff

Laura Foster says: “At Simon Rogan’s lovely restaurant Mr Cooper’s House and Garden in Manchester, Shane Kilgarriff twisted The Toronto, switching rye whisky for Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, keeping the bitter liqueur Fernet Branca and adding a touch of prune purée. The result was a smart whisky drink with a cooling menthol breeze over the top – a perfect opener to dinner by Mr Rogan himself.”
