With just a handful of days to go until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits UK screens, the film's leading actress Daisy Ridley has revealed how she "wept" after watching the movie.
"I pretended that I was fine for about an hour and then got in the car and wept the whole way to the airport", she said in an interview with ITN.
Star War: The Force Awakens, the seventh instalment of the popular film series, is set to be the biggest blockbuster of the year.
Ridley, 23, plays the leading character Rey, joined by John Boyega as Finn. A number of famous faces returning to the Star Wars saga include Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Carrie Fisher (Leia).
Ridley adds: "I think I'm lucky because I think you could be cast in something like this and maybe not have such a good time, but to be surrounded by the sorts of people I was surrounded by [...] it was just an incredible experience."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in the UK on Thursday
