The new trailer for Joe Wright's adaptation of Peter Pan shuns the Darling family in favour of a deeper, darker look into the origins of the title character.
Played by newcomer Levi Miller, the film follows Pan's life from the very beginning, mapping his journey to Neverland under the companionship of Hook (played by Tron's Garrett Hedlund), here with both hands intact.
A barely recognisable Hugh Jackman is on dastardly form as the pirate Blackeard, and the controversial casting of Rooney Mara as the Native American Tiger Lilly has not discouraged Wright from using her as a pivotal part in Pan's story. Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne - duplicated via special effects - also gets more screen time as the mermaids of Neverland.
