Who better to help hapless tang Dory find her family than a couple of whales in rehab? Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Kaitlin Olson, known for her role in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, have spoken to Entertainment Weekly about their roles in the 2016 Pixar sequel.
Burrell voices Bailey, a beluga whale with sonar capability problems, while Olson plays Destiny, a whale shark who can't swim straight.
The characters are pictured for the first time in the concept art above. Bailey and Destiny, who don't get on, will help the forgetful Dory find her parents, six months after the events of Finding Nemo, in what sounds like a similar role to the vegetarian sharks or surfer turtles in the first film.
"We totally get on each other’s nerves," Olson told EW. "I like to think I’m a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it’s gigantic."
Olson and Bailey will be joining a galaxy of stars in the film, including Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton, Dominic West, Burrell's Modern Family co-star Ed O’Neill, Eugene Levy and Idris Elba.
Finding Dory will be released on June 17, 2016.
