Stars such as Sienna Miller, Bradley Cooper and Daniel Brühl turned out to attend the Burnt premiere in Leicester Square last night.
The film charts second rise of Adam Jones (Cooper), a star fine-dining chef who underwent a massive meltdown at the height of his career. Since then he has been recovering from a drug problem, but is inspired to recapture the purpose his kitchen gave him, as well his former accolades – three Michelin stars.
Cooper received instruction on how swagger like a confident chef from Gordon Ramsay himself, and learnt the finer points of high-end cookery from Masterchef the Professionals judge Marcus Wareing, who also made an appearance at the premiere.
The actor discussed the process of learning how to carry himself like a professional chef, mentioning a dinner with the “Godfather” of modern British cooking Marco Pierre White, and revealing that all the cooking you see on screen has been cooked by those in front of the camera. “Marcus Wareing is the reason why it’s authentic,” said Cooper.
Waring has been involved in writing process since the beginning, and said that: “When I found out who was going to be the leading chef, hey: it doesn’t get any better”. He even said Cooper was a “good cook”. Sienna Miller also admitted that she loved cooking.
Burnt opens on November 6
