After today’s terrorist attacks in Brussels, Warner Bros. has confirmed that it will go ahead with the European premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which is due to take place tonight in London’s Leicester Square.
Butthe red carpet section of the event – including the interviews and press lines – has been scaled back.
"Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world,” Warner Bros said in a statement today.
“Rather than yield to terror, we’ve decided to join the film’s fans and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v Superman this evening."
Reports from Leicester Square suggest that the usually-busy venue is packed with fans, while the red carpet itself was laid out yesterday, ahead of the arrival of stars including Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck and the film's director Zack Snyder.
