I wake up at around 7.30am and make a peppermint tea. Then I take my rescue dog, Boicey, for a walk in the park. I use this time to clear my mind before I head to the studio. The biggest lesson of lockdown has been recognising how important this daily routine is for my mental health.
I never plan what I’m going to wear but recently I’ve leant towards comfortable bottoms, an oversized shirt and tie-dye socks. I also always wear several necklaces from my collection; I even sleep in them.
I drive to my studio. Recently we’ve been preparing to launch a new website, so my days have involved a bit of everything, from overseeing campaign imagery to designing pieces.
One of the highlights since I launched in 2018 was when actor Paul Mescal designed a chain with us following the success of Normal People last year – that was really cool and exciting.
I stop for lunch at around 2pm or 3pm. As my studio is in Notting Hill, there are some lovely local delis. Often I pick up some soup or rye bread with avocado. When I get back home, I like to take a bath, with some sort of bath salt popped in, and have a gin and tonic while I’m soaking.
Then I change into old-school pyjamas for the evening. I usually cook with my flatmate. We love Italian food so pasta al pomodoro is often on the menu. Before bed, I like to put a series on TV, although I am still on my phone, checking emails. My mind is always on my work.
I love Marianne Theodorsen’s style, particularly the way she dresses with colour.
