“If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?”

Those are the immortal first words of Derek Zoolander in the teaser trailer for Zoolander 2, released last night.

It’s the first glimpse of the sequel to the 2001 original, which saw male model Derek Zoolander brainwashed to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia and battle it out with arch nemesis Hansel (played by Owen Wilson), amongst other capers.

The trailer gives little away about the film, which is due for release in February 2016, but Ben Stiller (Zoolander himself) has offered a few hints over the last few months.

He and Wilson, in Derek and Hansel mode, took to the catwalk at Valentino’s autumn/winter 2015 show at Paris Fashion Week in March to film a scene for the film. They also posed with the brand’s creative directors, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, and Anna Wintour, suggesting that all three will enjoy cameos in the movie.

But who else can we expect?

Cara Delevingne gave a pretty big hint that she will appear when she posed with the two lead actors, while fellow models Karlie Kloss, Naomi Campbell and Alessandra Ambrosio are also rumoured to have walk-on parts.
