Yes, it’s that time of year again: pop superstar Rihanna has returned to native Barbados to revel in the Caribbean island’s annual carnival, sporting nothing but a few strategically-placed rhinestones and a feathered head dress.
The 27-year-old got in the spirit of things for the Kadooment Day parade wearing a creation by Zulu International designer Lauren Austin. The Umbrella singer came across Austin’s designs in 2013, when she sparkled in a bra top and thong adorned with iridescent beads (and a pair of fishnet tights), making headlines in the process.
This year, she picked a gold and blue colour theme, left the fishnets at home and didn’t look back. And she was only too happy to share the moments on social media, which show her aboard the fun float, sipping drinks from an equally blingy cup.
Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton was also at the parade, fuelling speculation that he and Rihanna are an item. He showed off newly braided hair for the occasion, a style which was largely mocked by many tabloid newspapers today.
But he needn’t have worried about any unwanted attention – we’re sure that scantly-clad Rihanna was receiving that by the bucket load.
