Chelsea F.C. boss José Mourinho may have been the recipient of the Editor’s Special Award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night, but all eyes were firmly fixed on his teenage daughter.
The Portuguese manager asked 18-year-old Matilde to accompany him to the smart ceremony, which is staged annually by the men’s lifestyle magazine – and she rose to the occasion in the wardrobe/publicity department.
Matilde picked a black velvet minidress with a deep, plunging neckline by French fashion house Balmain, a label adored by the Kardashians. Incidentally, the combination of her honey-toned skin, slick chignon and lashings of black kohl could have easily made her pass for the sixth Kendall/Kardashian sister had she not had her famous 52-year-old father on her arm.
And we should add the adjective generous father to that sentence too; Matilde’s dress may have been skimpy on fabric, but it’s currently on sale for a staggering £2,145 at Matches Fashion. Perhaps Jose had wanted to shout ‘you’re not going out like that!!!!’ when Matilde emerged all primped and preened from her bedroom – but thought better when presented with a receipt for the microscopic mini.
Matilde – who is known as Tita to her family – has been linked to One Direction singer Niall Horan after watching her father’s team play at Stamford Bridge together earlier this year. The Mail Online reports that the teenager and pop star were also sighted leaving a nightclub together, but a representative for Horan rubbished claims that they were an item.
Mourinho’s family – including wife Matilde and son José junior, have been living in the UK since 2013 after residing in Portugal, Italy and Spain and an earlier stint in the capital during the manager’s first stint at Chelsea F.C.
