How to play Telegraph Fantasy Football
Within a £50m budget, pick a team of 11 Premier League stars to line up in one of six formations. You can change your team as much as you like during the transfer amnesty, which runs right up until the first match kicks off at 20:00 on Friday, August 10, 2018. After that, you’ll get 40 transfers to use throughout the season.
Your chosen players score points for your team based on their performances in all Premier League and FA Cup matches. Points are awarded for appearances, scoring goals, creating goals and keeping clean sheets. Points are lost for yellow/red cards and for conceding goals.
The aim of the game is to finish as high up the leaderboard as possible by scoring as many points as you can.
You’ll then be able to follow your team scores in real-time within the TFF live scoring facility.
Set up your own league with friends and colleagues
Creating a Private League for you and your friends is the perfect way to build up local rivalry throughout the season - and all at no extra cost!
There’s nothing better than getting one over on your mates and, with live league tables during matches and your own private message boards, you’ll find everything you need to make it a great summer for your group.
Build your own prize fund!
You can up the ante yourself by setting up a Paid Private League. Choose how much you’d like members to pay to join your league (£2, £5, £10, £20 or £50) and 100% of this money will be returned to the league winner(s), with your group’s Chairman deciding at the start of the season how to divide up the prize pool.
Note: the deadline to join Private or Paid Private Leagues is 23:59 (BST) on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Enter a TFF Tournament: small leagues, big prizes
Perhaps the most exciting way to play Telegraph Fantasy Football is in a Tournament.
And, best of all, your chances of winning have never been better. All you have to do is beat 15 other managers to win a cash prize. Here's how...
Select the entry fee you feel most comfortable with from £5, £10 or £20. The higher the entry fee, the bigger the prizes are at the end of the season.
In every tournament, there are two ways to win - the league and the cup. Naturally, the higher the entry fee, the bigger prizes there are on offer.
Brand new: One Leagues - the ultimate TFF test
Last but not least - are you looking for even more ways to win in the 2018/19 season? Our pay-to-play One Leagues give managers the chance to compete for big cash prizes against fellow managers but with a limit of one team entry per league.
There will be two separate One Leagues available to join. The £10 One League has a first prize of £10,000 to be won, with the £5 One League paying out £5,000 to the winner.
The managers that finish second and third in each league will also win cash prizes of £250 and £100, respectively.
To be in with a chance of winning the big cash prizes, choose your team wisely and enter it into one of the leagues by 12:30pm on Saturday, August 18.
