It's not quite as busy as Tuesday, but there are still five race meetings on Wednesday, including a pair of graded contests over jumps in Ireland featuring a Cheltenham Festival winner.

The afternoon fare begins on the Flat at Nottingham (1.00-5.20) and Bath (1.40-5.35), while jumps racing comes from Punchestown (1.15-4.35) and Wetherby (1.52-5.45). Later on, all-weather racing comes from Kempton (4.25-8.30).

Our NAP is fancied to lead home Gordon Elliott's strong representation in a Grade 3 contest the trainer has dominated lately.

Shattered Love appeared destined for great things when she landed her Cheltenham Festival success in March 2018 in fine style. It perhaps hasn't worked out quite how her supporters would have hoped but she remains a mare capable of bagging a prize like this.

Trainer Gordon Elliott has landed this Grade 3 six times since 2011 and the Cullentra supremo will be confident of doing so again as he accounts for four of the eight runners assembled.

The Storyteller is match-fit and may start as favourite, while Elliott also calls on Ravenhill and Alpha Des Obeaux, but it is Shattered Love and Mark Walsh that appeal the most.

An underwhelming return at Gowran Park last season apart, she tends to be sharp on her first run of the season. She was an easy winner of a Clonmel Listed contest on second run last term, and was mostly kept to Grade 1 company afterwards, save for clashing with Al Boum Photo at Tramore on New Year's Day.

That has routinely been her lot since that JLT win at Cheltenham. Grade 1s and big rivals to stare down, Cheltenham Gold Cups and Irish Grand Nationals amongst the races she has contested.

She's got a fine record returning from a break and Elliott should have her primed for this contest. Getting weight from the boys, Shattered Love is more than capable of securing this prize.

A cracking Listed sprint at Nottingham is in prospect with the likes of Dakota Gold, Moss Gill and Tis Marvellous turning out. The Michael Dods-trained top-weight Dakota Gold made every yard to win a Group 3 at York over the weekend (6f, soft), beating The Tin Man in doing so. He's penalised here and it's a quick turnaround to overcome.

Moss Gill was third in the Nunthorpe at York in August but didn't match that form last time at Doncaster, while Tis Marvellous is very consistent and should give a good account.

Robert Cowell's Aljady has won on four of his six starts since joining this trainer from Richard Fahey and is 2-2 over the minimum distance. He won a Conditions race at Beverley on his most recent start and could have plenty more to offer at this trip.

Conditions are favourable and he's worth following upped in grade.

Tip: Aljady @ 7/2 with bet365

Horse racing tips today: Wetherby 1.52

It should be well worth keeping a close eye on the wetherbyracing.co.uk Juvenile Hurdle as jumps racing returns for a new season at the West Yorkshire track.

Nigel Hawke's Historic Heart already boasts a win over timber at Sedgefield but, beaten since in a Fontwell handicap, he hardly sets a lofty standard and is facing some promising Flat recruits conceding a penalty now.

First Impression and Midnights Legacy are the pair that stand out, though both Lustleigh and Camahawk also carry some appeal.

Alan King's Midnights Legacy achieved the highest rating on the level but preference is for John Quinn's gelded son of Make Believe to live up to his name on hurdling debut by starting with a win.

He developed into a smart performer on the Flat this summer in five runs, winning twice, including when last spotted at Ayr (1m2f, good to soft) last month off a mark of 85. With champion jockey Brian Hughes jocked up in the Wetherby opener, he can land the spoils and prove one to follow in the juvenile hurdling ranks this winter.

Tip: First Impression @ 9/4 with bet365
