Brace yourselves for a hectic Thursday of racing with 56 races across seven venues in Britain and Ireland. It all kicks off at Carlisle (12.35-4.34pm), one of four afternoon National Hunt meetings along with from Lingfield (1.15-5.15), Ludlow (1.25-5.25) and Thurles (1.00-4.27).
Meanwhile, they go on the Flat at Navan (1.20-5.20) before evening all-weather cards from Wolverhampton (4.05-8.15) and Chelmsford City (4.59-8.30).
Today’s nap represents trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies on his chasing bow at Ludlow after a promising recent comeback effort.

Nigel Twiston-Davies introduces GOA LIL to chasing in this novices' handicap at Ludlow and he’s expected to play a leading role in the Isaac Souede and Simon Munir silks.
Having shown promising form over timber last season, including attempting to give Goshen a race on his jumping bow before unseating his rider late on, he returned with a fine front-running third in a handicap for four-year-olds at Chepstow a fortnight ago.
That race was won by Paul Nicholls’ Thyme White, a smart-looking performer for the Ditcheat team, but Goa Lil was not disgraced in third spot having made most of the running. He’s sure to be sharper for the run and gets a handy age allowance here.
Dan Skelton’s Monsieur D'Arque has been in good form over fences, finishing second at Warwick and Newton Abbot last month having won at Market Rasen in the summer, and sets the standard.
However, Goa Lil was the better of the pair over sticks and can take advantage of the weight he’s getting from him today for a winning start in this sphere.
Tip: Nap: Goa Lil @ 5/2 with bet365
Horse racing tips: Wolverhampton 5.40
It’s very likely that Collinsbay will go off a short-priced favourite for trainer Richard Hannon in the Royal silks in this seven-furlong novice stakes.
The Cable Bay colt is rated 89 but he’s had plenty of chances to get a win already and scarcely looked in love with the job when turned over at odds of 1/4 last month at Chelmsford on his only previous all-weather start.
He found a Listed race at Redcar too hot since, and first-time blinkers are reached for here. He clearly has the talent to bag a prize like this but isn’t one to get carried away with at the likely prices.
A solid alternative is Alan King’s RAFIKI under James Doyle. Sent off 66/1 on debut at Kempton over this trip last month, he battled to the line before being edged out for second by fellow newcomer State Secretary, the pair having proved no match for Charlie Appleby’s impressive Godolphin winner Secret Protector.
That was a more than pleasing start to his career in the circumstances and the form has a solid enough look as the fifth and ninth home have both won on their next starts. Rafiki should build on that run and could get on the board here if Collinsbay again finds winning elusive.
Tip: Rafiki @ 5/1 with bet365
Horse racing tips: Lingfield 2.22
Trainer Fergal O’Brien has enjoyed a splendid autumn with his team in winning form and regular rider Paddy Brennan oozing confidence in the saddle to ensure he’s a crucial part of that success.
They combine here with handicap hurdle debutant HUNTSMANS JOG and an opening mark of 114 is very tempting on paper.
The Milan gelding showed plenty of promise in bumpers and maiden hurdles previously, including finishing third to the useful Eva’s Oscar at Hexham (2m 7½f, good) when last out under rules in a maiden hurdle in May 2019.
Since then he has won two of three starts in point-to-points before joining this yard and he must stand a solid chance of leaving his mark on first start for the O’Brien team.
Tip: Huntsmans Jog @ 2/1 with bet365
