The six meetings on Tuesday are evenly divided between Flat, all-weather and National Hunt racing.

The action gets things under way on the level at Yarmouth (12.25-4.50pm) and there’s more Flat racing on the turf at Fairyhouse (1.20-4.45). Newcastle (1.50-5.40) and Kempton (4.35-8.10) provide the all-weather cards and there’s National Hunt fare at Exeter (12.40-4.30) and Tipperary (1.30-5.25).

Horse racing tips: Kempton 4.35

A decent contest for the grade opens the card at Kempton and it’s one in which Bezzas Lad merits plenty of respect for trainer Tony Carroll after his all-the-way success at Nottingham 23 days ago.

That form has worked out very well, with three of the beaten horses winning since, but the three-year-old is drawn widest of all here in his follow-up attempt from a 6lb higher mark and might have to expend plenty of energy in getting to the front. The drop in distance may also be a negative.

The mare KATHERINE PLACE looks a solid player against him. In two runs here last year, she won and finished second (beaten a neck) and she returns to Kempton having enjoyed a thoroughly consistent campaign both on turf and the all-weather, her most recent success coming at Leicester in August.

She finished very strongly at Lingfield (5f, AW) a fortnight ago having given the front-running winner Miaella a sizeable lead turning for home.

From the same mark of 64 and with useful 7lb claimer Rhys Clutterbuck taking over, the mare could well finish over the top of these rivals and make it 2-3 over course and distance.

Tip: Katherine Place (Kempton, 4.35) @ 4/1 with bet365

Horse racing tips: Exeter 2.50

Colin Tizzard and Robbie Power will have high hopes for the hat-trick hopeful Sizing At Midnight in the Love Devon Handicap Chase over three miles and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him score again.

However, he’s now 15lb higher than when winning at Newton Abbot in August and may well prove vulnerable under his latest hike.

Kitty’s Light arrives in winning form for the Christian Williams team but, at the forecast prices, preference is for FLYING VERSE representing Tom Symonds.

The son of Yeats has been consistent since joining this trainer, three times finishing second in small fields this summer, and he looked set to have a big say last week at Wincanton (3m 1f, good to firm) only to unship his rider after falling foul of a stricken rival at the third from home.

He’s eased 1lb by the assessor for this assignment and in Sam Twiston-Davies he’s set to be reunited with a rider who has a super record at Exeter. He might be able to take advantage of this mark to gain a deserved success and end Sizing At Midnight’s treble chance.

Tip: Flying Verse (Exeter, 2.50) @ 6/1 with bet365

Horse racing tips: Newcastle 4.10

Roger Fell’s former course-and-distance winner AL OZZDI could be ready to get his head back in front after what amounted to a luckless fourth at Wolverhampton on Saturday night.

James Sullivan’s mount was behind horses on the home turn and the rider will have finished frustrated having twice gone for gaps that closed in front of him when he had plenty of horse underneath him. He had to change course and finished fourth after those traffic woes.

Friday’s course-and-distance scorer Traveller and the improving Finally Mine are big dangers but Al Ozzdi should be able to race handily from stall four and, if moving into contention with as much purpose, should have no worries in getting his chance on the long run to the Newcastle winning post.

Tip: Al Ozzdi (Newcastle, 4.10) @ 7/1 with bet365
