The Premier League relegation odds have been revealed and the bookies have West Brom and Fulham as the join-favourites to be demoted

West Brom have been joined by Fulham as the favourites to be demoted at the first time of asking in the 2020-21 Premier League relegation odds market.

The Baggies were promoted last season in second place behind Championship winners Leeds United, but the bookies see them and play-off winners Fulham struggling for survival this season after they both lost their opening games.

However, the shock success of Sheffield United, who finished in ninth last season after winning promotion, shows the 38-game season could throw up some more surprises.

Latest Premier League relegation odds

West Brom may have only just arrived back in the Premier League after two seasons in the Championship but the bookies are not confident they can stay there.

And on the evidence of their 3-0 opening-game defeat by Leicester City, it’s going to be a long season for the Baggies, who are 8/11 with play-off winners Fulham, who lost 3-0 to Arsenal on Saturday.

West Ham and Aston Villa are both 2/1 after the Hammers went down 2-0 at home to Newcastle United in their first game, while the Villans kick their season off against Sheffield United on Monday, who themselves are 3/1 after losing to Wolves.

Next up are Burnley and Brighton (both 10/3), with the Clarets kicking their season off against Leicester on Sunday and the Seagulls having lost already to Chelsea and facing Newcastle next.

Newcastle are 4/1 after beating West Ham while Crystal Palace’s victory against Southampton has led to their odds lengthening from 2/1 to 7/2 before they travel to Manchester United at the weekend.
