Southampton will be aiming to make it three wins in a row when they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints went into the international break with a spring in their step after successive wins over Burnley and West Bromwich Albion, and know what it takes to get the better of the Blues on their own patch having won in west London last season.
Chelsea are a much-improved side though and looked like their new-look team was starting to click, particularly going forward, when brushing aside Crystal Palace 4-0 in their last outing.
Chelsea vs Southampton predictions
Chelsea are the favourites going into the game after their victory against Palace, although Southampton are also on good form and were victorious last time they played at the Bridge in a 2-0 victory last year. However, that was their only win against the Blues in their last nine matches, and we expect Chelsea to be too strong at home.

Chelsea to maintain recent run
While Chelsea have shown some vulnerabilities, they have been pretty consistent at home since the turn of the year and should have too much quality for Ralph Hasenhuttl's visitors.
The Blues have won seven of their last eight Premier League home games, with the only teams to get the better of them on their own patch in 2020 being Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
Since the start of the 2019/20 campaign, no side has conceded fewer goals at home than Chelsea but we fancy Southampton to find the net in a losing effort.
Tip: Chelsea to win and both teams to score @ 15/8 with bet365
Expect goals in London
Chelsea had hoped to have solved their goalkeeping issues when they signed Edouard Mendy last month only for the Senegal international to pick up an injury while away with his country that is likely to keep him out for two weeks.
Mendy's absence adds to boss Frank Lampard's selection headaches after England's Ben Chilwell also returned early from international duty. Lampard had wanted to name the same back five that shut out Palace in their last outing but will need to shuffle his pack, potentially presenting Saints with an opportunity.
The visitors boast an in-form Danny Ings and all signs point towards Saturday's battle being a high-scoring affair.
While Saints have plenty of firepower, their defence has been penetrated eight times in their last five matches and Chelsea's frontline could have a feast having already netted 15 times this term.
Over 3.5 goals would have landed in five of the last 11 meetings between the sides and with this being the season for goals in the top flight, it might pay to take a risk.
Tip: Over 3.5 goals @ 11/8 with bet365
Giroud backed to make an impact
Giroud's future at Stamford Bridge was questioned over the summer, especially after the arrival of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig but if we've learnt anything about the former Arsenal man, it is never to write him off.
The Frenchman scored two goals during the international break, and the 34-year-old has an amazing record against Southampton.
Giroud has had a hand in five goals in his last four Premier League games against Saturday's opponents, with four goals and one assist.
He has only scored more goals against Aston Villa and Newcastle United since he moved to the Premier League.
Giroud has scored on seven occasions against the Saints over the years, and it is likely he will step off the bench to help Lampard on Saturday.
Chelsea's fixtures come thick and fast with the Champions League set to start next week, and Lampard will need to rotate his players.
Giroud has rescued them from the bench in the past and could come on late in the game when Southampton’s defence is tiring to add to his tally.
Tip: Olivier Giroud to score last @ 9/2 with bet365
Chelsea vs Southampton odds
Chelsea are 9/20 favourites with Southampton 11/2 and the draw 15/4.
Chelsea team news
Ben Chilwell is likely to recover from the foot injury that ruled him out of England duty to take his place in a defensive four with Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma. Chelsea predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Azpilicueta, Silva, Zouma, Chilwell; Jorginho, Kovacic; Mount, Havertz, Pulisic; Werner.
Southampton team news
Aside from Stuart Armstrong, who is still in quarantine, Southampton have a full complement of players to choose from. Theo Walcott is likely to get a second debut for his boyhood club with Nathan Redmond lining up on the opposite wing.
Southampton predicted line-up (4-4-2): McCarthy; Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand; Walcott, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Redmond; Ings, Adams.
