Chelsea will be looking to make a positive start to their Champions League campaign and face a stern test against the Europa League holders, Sevilla.
The Blues have endured a mixed start to the Premier League season, while Sevilla have shown they are capable of getting results away from home in Europe.
Chelsea v Sevilla predictions
Sevilla have established themselves as the true masters of the Europa League, winning the competition for a sixth time in their history last term. Manager Julen Lopetegui will be keen to take his side to the next level this season by leading them to the latter stages of Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
Los Nervionenses started their La Liga campaign well, with wins over Cadiz and Levante before securing an impressive 1-1 draw at Barcelona. Despite scoring freely, Chelsea have struggled defensively this season. They let another commanding lead slip when drawing 3-3 against Southampton at the weekend, and Sevilla have a real chance to get the three points.
Odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.
Time for Sevilla to shine on the big stage
Sevilla started the season strongly although they may have had one eye on their trip to Stamford Bridge as they slipped up over the weekend with a 1-0 defeat at Granada.
Striker Luuk de Jong has picked up where he left off last season and has two goals to his name already this term, including one at the Camp Nou against Barcelona.
After a tough spell in the Premier League with Newcastle United, the 30-year-old Dutchman is thriving at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and he should provide the Chelsea defence with plenty to think about.
These sides have never met in a competitive match but Sevilla look like they have the quality through their squad to get a positive result against an inconsistent Chelsea.

Goals could be on the menu in west London
Defence has been an issue for manager Frank Lampard so far this season, with his Blues side already conceding nine goals in five Premier League outings.
Conceding three goals in games against both West Brom and Southampton has shown there is still plenty of work to be done to get the backline functioning and Lampard does not have much time to put things right before Sevilla come to town.
Scoring goals has certainly not been an issue for the men from The Bridge, as they have found the back of the net 13 times in the league.
Summer signing Timo Werner looks to be settling in well to life in the English game following his big-money move from RB Leipzig.
The Germany international bagged himself a brace against the Saints in his last outing and it would be no surprise to see him get on the scoresheet on Tuesday.
Tip: Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4 with bet365
Plenty of firepower at both ends
While Chelsea have struggled defensively, Sevilla have been far from solid themselves, keeping just one clean sheet in their four La Liga games so far.
They do, though, carry a number of attacking threats and might just be able to come away from the English capital with at least a point to show for their efforts.
Tip: Both teams to score @ 4/6 with bet365
Chelsea vs Sevilla odds
