Last year’s biggest beauty collaboration was, without a doubt, Victoria Beckham for Estee Lauder. The make-up range, which consisted of four main looks - themed around London, Paris, New York and LA - was a run-away success, not just because it gave women an entry point into brand VB, but because the formulas were pretty damn good. So unsurprisingly, the fashion designer and beauty giant have teamed up for a second time.
Fans of the collection will be happy to note that several of the original products are being reintroduced, including the radiance-boosting Morning Aura Illuminating Creme and highly pigmented Eye Foils. Interestingly, the looks have only been divided into two cities, London and LA. Perhaps they didn't sell as well, or in the last six months Beckham's life has been split between just two cities. And the latest collection as a whole is distinctively less colourful. The bright coral lipstick and jewel-toned eye palette are noticeably absent.
Two new products have been introduced though: a new lipstick in Nude Spice, which replaces the original Brazilian Nude shade in the London look and a lighter shade of bronzer in Saffron Sun joins the bestselling shade, Java Sun for LA.
“It’s important that this is about fashion as well. Every collection we do I want it to have an element of fashion. Yes it’s all very wearable, but I also have fashion in there,” the fashion designer told WWD earlier this week. Beckham also took to social media to announce the launch and the two new limited edition shades. The collection will be available from 17th February, but you can pre-order at victoriabeckham.com now.
With the Victoria Beckham autumn/winter 2017 show taking place on Sunday and make-up artist Pat McGrath likely to create an alluring look using the collection, you'd be wise to get your order in fast, especially if the collection is as popular the second time round.
