'Marie Kondo' your make-up bag with these 8 new cosmetic cases

You’ve lovingly curated your cosmetics collection, so store it in a case that’s every bit at covetable

Cosmetics bags are seriously underrated in the accessories world, particularly if you’re a big make-up wearer rummaging through said bag on a daily basis (guilty as charged). If you’re in the market for an upgrade, allow me to talk you through some of my current favourites.

Let’s start with the Power of Makeup Planner by Trish McEvoy, which will delight any Marie Kondo types. It’s a smart leather Filofax-like pouch, which can hold hole-punched blusher compacts by the brand in a very chic way. There’s plenty of other space for liners, lip glosses and lipsticks, too, and the smaller version is a good handbag size.

Another favourite is the black and rose-gold Swag Bag by lifestyle brand Scamp & Dude. If you love the print on this washbag, make sure you check out the brand’s cosy sweatshirts in similar designs (they are perfect for WFH attire). If florals are more your thing, you can’t go wrong with practically anything from the Liberty beauty hall – this Morris & Co zip bag is particularly eye-catching and wouldn’t look out of place on a vintage dressing table.

For when we can finally start travelling again, I find perspex washbags really come into their own. The red croc-effect leather-lined beauty bag by Azurina is so luxe I’d be tempted to buy the matching set (it comes in a larger zipper design, too); while the Space NK travel case comes in lots of lovely colours.

Go forth, have a clear-out of any make-up you no longer use and rehouse the stuff you do really love into one of these happy-making new bags. I’m planning to do the same – Marie Kondo would be proud.
