Spring time is upon us and with it, we're ready to dust out our make-up bag and bathroom cabinet in favour of lighter textures, fresher shades and a rundown of the new, improved products we'll be wedded to throughout summer.

This is the first summer I’ve been obsessed with bright lips, but finding the right red is tricky. So that it looks youthful and modern, I’m contrasting matt lipstick with glowy skin, leaving my eyes coated in no more than a smear of cream bronzer, with a pop of highlighter in the corners and just below my brow bone.

My spring make-up update
Rouge G de Guerlain Customisable Lipstick in shade 40, £26, Guerlain. When I’m not wearing a red lip, this coral is my shade of choice. The formulation is made with cumin- seed oil, which keep lips hydrated and never feeling cakey.
My skincare hero
Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask, £43, Kora Organics. This makes my skin feels like a polished pebble every time I use it. It’s truly the best skin investment I’ve made all year.
The body product I love
Skin Food Body Butter, £18.95, Weleda. While thick and nourishing on my dry skin, it doesn’t leave a greasy film. And because the consistency is semi-solid, it’s portable, which is one of my non-negotiables.
The healthy eating service I'm trying
The Pure Package meal-delivery service to sort out my gut health (from £39.95 per day). Opting for gluten- and dairy-free, I’ve got a bespoke menu packed with fibre-rich vegetables. The result? More energy and a flatter tummy.
My favourite spring scent
Pas Ce Soir, £150 for 100ml edp, BDK Parfums. This scent was apparently inspired by a mysterious Parisian woman. Knowing this alone makes it appealing to me. Plus, it’s warm, fruity and totally addictive.
My new nail colour
Sole Mate, £7.99, Essie. This is reminiscent of ’90s nail hero Chanel Rouge Noir (which is still great BTW), and has the appeal of being both classic and edgy at the same time.

The new-season look: Peach Tones
I’m the most boring person in the world when it comes to eye make-up – if it’s brown I’ll have it – but I’ve been coaxed out of my comfort zone by corals and peaches. I thought they might look either bonkers or too young, but the pop of colour is surprisingly flattering. Just keep the lips neutral or you will look a bit crazy!
My skincare hero
Retinol Ceramide Capsules Night Serum, £42, Elizabeth Arden. Feels like liquid silk on your face and it really helps my dryness and dehydration.
My favourite spring scent
Orange Blossom Cologne, £98 for 100ml, Jo Malone. I always change my scent as soon as we hit April and I can’t get enough of this – it’s like the sun in a bottle.
Where I'm working out
Whenever I feel ‘tired but wired’ I have a session of restorative yoga with Nahid De Belgeonne (goodvibesfitness.co.uk). She eases your body into positions that switch off your mind completely. I’ve never experienced such deep calm.
My new nail colour
The Nail Lacquer in Light Blue, £21, Dolce & Gabbana. I never do a red nail – it feels too serious and corporate for me. This blue is so pretty and actually goes with most things in my wardrobe.
The body product I love
Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, £29.50, Nuxe. I recently went to Paris and bought three of bottles of this. I use it every day and it leaves my skin with a lovely sheen that isn’t sticky.
My spring make-up update
Touche Eclat Le Teint, £35, Yves Saint Laurent. The best foundation ever invented – my shade is Beige Rose 50, if you’re interested.

The new-season look: Hair accessories
I am a huge fan of hair accessories. Whether it’s a simple ribbon, embellished clips or a bold hat for a wedding – I’m obsessed! So it’s no surprise that Chanel’s beachy waves (above) and pearly embellished clip (below) make up my go-to look this summer. It’s ethereal with an edge – just the way I like my hair.
At my desk
The Rejuvenating Hand Serum, £95, La Mer. I was once told you should apply hand cream as often as you answer your phone – so I’ve done just that ever since. This serum sits on my desk and yes, I do have very soft hands.
My favourite spring scent
L’Eau d’Issey Shade of Sunrise, £44 for 90ml edt, Issey Miyake. I love spring fragrances – I can never choose just one, but I’ve been wearing this ever since it landed on my desk a few weeks ago. It has a mix of salty and sweet notes, which means it lingers on your skin, but is also fresh in all the right ways.
Where I'm working out
I’ve recently started Core Collective’s Lift + Row class, £22 and I’m hooked! It’s the perfect balance of core work, strength training and cardio. I’ve really noticed a difference in my body after just a few classes.
My spring make-up update
L’Absolu Rouge Spring Collection Limited Edition Lip Colour in Hemeur Nude, £25.50, Lancôme. I have two or three of these scattered between my desk, handbag and home. It’s the perfect shade whatever the occasion.
My skincare hero
Ultimate Cleanse, £48, Sarah Chapman. I cannot live without this cleansing balm. It sloughs away stubborn make-up and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.
The body product I love
Self Tan Bronzing Water Gel, £33, St Tropez. This product sold out the day it launched and I’m not surprised. It’s brilliant. It goes on like water and dries into a subtle gorgeous glow. I am the worst DIY tanner in the world, and even I have no streaks.

The new-season look: The top knot
A cool-girl top knot is my ultimate up-do because it’s low-maintenance and looks the part. This summer, I’m freshening up my look à la Sam McKnight’s Fendi bun. Want to do the same? Embrace a messy texture and learn to love your flyaways.
My favourite nail hangout
Townhouse on Great Portland Street is hands-down the best place for grown-up spring nail designs (from £52). I’m currently sporting the lightning bolts. And, if you’re not London-based, the salon’s Instagram @mytownhouseuk is an excellent source of inspiration.
My favourite spring scent
Blanche Kabuki Perfume, £42, Byredo. Great to take on a flight because you can dust the fragranced powder on to your wrists instead of spritzing in a confined space. It smells crisp and is a lovely pick-me-up.
The body product I love
Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow, £40.50, Elemis. Just the thing for a little light exfoliation, especially on ‘winter legs’ in need of some extra TLC. It’s blended with monoi oil, so will moisturise and soften.
Where I'm working out
Pilates – it’s pretty much the only workout I’m good at and makes me feel supple and smug every time. YouTube is a font of knowledge and enables a DIY workout that you can do at home. Easy.
My spring make-up update
Infra-Red Eye Shadow Palette, £36.50, Bobbi Brown. Eight summer shades including a brightening champagne, warm bronze and hazy terracotta, all of which will perk up eyes in an instant.
My skincare hero
Mineral Sunscreen Glow, £36, Soleil Toujours. This is light and silky and has a pretty golden undertone that gives a gorgeous glow. Plus, it means you can forgo your highlighter.
