We're sure the party invites are coming in thick and fast now that December is well underway. Chances are you’ve pulled out some old faithful dresses to take to the dry cleaners in preparation for party season. Chances also are that when you’ve tried them on post clean, they don’t fit exactly like they used to, or  you don’t feel as though you look as good in them as you once did. Perhaps your décolleté is looking crepey, your thighs a little more dimpled, your upper arms a tad more saggy, your tummy slightly rounder and your hips less smooth? Well, we’ve uncovered the best quick-fix treatments, that will have you looking and feeling fab at every event this December, no diet or gym visits required.

Hips

“No matter your age the hips can be particularly problematic to lose fat from as it’s one of the bodies ‘storage’ areas, containing a higher proportion of white fat, vs more highly metabolic brown fat. However, once you hit your 40’s perimenopausal drops in hormone levels make it even more difficult to release fat from these stores. While general ageing will result in the loosening of skin,” explains aesthetic doctor, David Jack

Support wear can work wonders at smoothing down areas of stubborn fat, and lax skin around the hips, but trying to eat, drink, dance or frankly even breath in them can be a real challenge.

“FormaPLUS, a bipolar radiofrequency skin tightening treatment offers speedy results with minimal downtime,” shares Jack. This treatment improves the structure and form of connective tissue within fatty deposits, helping to reduce lumps and bumps. It also tightens and lifts the skin, something exercise does not have any effect on in this area.

Jack who regularly performs the treatment at his Harley Street clinic suggests one or two 90-minute sessions to get you party ready in just one week. As studies have shown that the results are comparable with the recommended six sessions of 30 minutes, once a week.

Arms

Cramming in arm exercises a week before slipping into your LBD isn’t likely to make much of a dent when it comes to muscle definition. And even if you are an all year-round gym goer loose skin in the upper arm region is part and parcel of the ageing process. “Over time skin begins to sag due to the breakdown of muscle and fat tissues, as well as diminishing levels of proteins that are crucial to keeping skin youthful,” shares aesthetic doctor, Gabriela Mercik

This is where PDO threads can help to lift, reposition and anchor the skin into place, while also boosting the production of collagen for long-term results. Performed under local anaesthetic, the dissolvable threads are sewn into the upper arms, creating a supportive mesh under the skin and delivering an immediate and a progressive lift while smoothing away fine lines and wrinkles,” shares Mercik. It does sound a little Frankenstein-esque we agree. However, threads can offer a similar result to that of a surgical arm lift, but without the risks associated with surgery. You’ll be party ready after two to three days downtime, and while changes are instant, best results are visible within four weeks, with results lasting up to 18 months.

Flat tummy

“This time of year can be challenging for our tummies, as we tend to eat more carbs and sugar, drink more alcohol and generally give them a hard time,” shares aesthetic doctor, Sophie Shotter. This can lead to major bloating, and water retention, which is why for a flatter tummy this party season Shotter suggests The Body Ballancer lymphatic drainage treatment

The treatment begins after you slip into a pair of compression trousers that look rather similar to a sleeping bag. “Then you simply lie back and relax for 45 minutes, while your whole lower body is being massaged in a way that encourages the lymphatic system to drain fluid and toxins,” explains Shotter. After just one treatment there will be a significant decrease in water retention throughout the whole of the lower body and you’ll leave with a much flatter stomach, making it the ideal treatment to have the day of an event.

Legs

Your legs have probably not seen the light of day since Summer, and if you’re not a member of the body brushing brigade, you’re probably sporting some lacklustre pins and perhaps acquired some extra cellulite to boot. Not only that, you may have begun to notice some crepiness’ around the lower thigh and knees in recent years as ageing takes hold.

Give your legs some much needed attention and get them dance floor ready fast with a touch of heat therapy. “The Venus Legacy incorporates multi-polar radiofrequency and pulsed electromagnetic field technology to produce a gentle, therapeutic ‘heat matrix’ over the skin. The adjustable pulsed electro magnetic suction feature, gently pulls the skin upward, allowing the radiofrequency energy to travel even deeper into the skin. Circulation is stimulated, encouraging the reduction of cellulite. Fat cells are broken down to promote a slimmer, more streamlined shape. While collagen and elastin fibres are increased leaving limbs smoother, tighter and more contoured,” shares beautician at Neville Hair & Beauty, Hasti Paragni

Inch loss is guaranteed and as circulation is boosted and oxygenation of the skin is increased glowing skin is a sure thing too. While a course of eight to ten is recommended you’ll notice a marked difference after two 60-minute treatments one week apart.

Décolleté

No amount of chest presses will save your décolleté from premature ageing if you’ve been laxed with your SPF application over the years. However, a mix of needle therapies are the rescue remedy you need if lines and crepey skin are getting you down this party season.

“Not using your skincare and SPF from the forehead all the way down to the chest, compounds ageing and often leads to an increase in dryness, pigmentation and more skin wrinkling in the chest than the face. I use a three-pronged needle-based approach to smooth the whole area and kick start the skin's own healing responses,” shares aesthetic doctor, Ifeoma Ejikeme

The Adonia Golden Décolleté Treatment comprises of PRP, botox and Volite injections, and gives an immediate youth boost to the décolleté with absolutely no downtime.First up PRP, better known as the vampire facial, made famous by the likes of Kim Kardashian, is a procedure where blood is taken from you, spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma, which is then re-injecting into the chest. The plasma stimulates collagen and elastin production to thicken and tighten thinning skin, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles in the process. Botox is then injected to contract the skin by freezing muscles below, and while this takes one to two weeks to fully freeze, injectable moisturiser Volite works instantly.

“Volite is a hydrating hyaluronic acid injectable moisturiser that helps to instantly iron out the vertical lines in the décolletage and lasts for up to nine months,” adds Ejikeme. So, in little over a week you’ll be able to sport a plunging neckline without hesitation.
